How do you type?

So I've noticed we seem to have some different style of RPing! Some of us use third person pasttense, some *use asteriks*, some use present tense.... Just curious on what everybody prefers, and idk, some technical rp stuff xD

I personally use 3rd person past, bc thats generally how books I've read are written and it seems comfortable. On short or text rps I use asteriks bc it takes up less space.

I'm not saying anythings the right way; just curious on how you like to get your message across!

Usually, I prefer 1st person, it's easier to ue terms that don't sound like I'm saying 'Ozzy this' and 'Ozzy that', and when referring to 'he' or 'she' the character has to be successfully and obviously identifiable.
I do tend to use asterisks outside of this site, but I tried making my writing fit in a little more so I went with the easier method of using speech marks for speech and nothing for the descriptions. In short things, I just use the asterisks, it's easier.
And as for tenses, I tend not to notice xD

lol I know what you mean with the distinguishing people. Especially when you're RPing with a member of the same sex... She said this to her and she was all blahblahblah is confusing @_@

I mean, not everyone isn't here... and some ppls have legit reasons (like Lex; his internets are not working right now) but I miss everyooooooooonnnnneeeee!!

Y'know, I was actually watching TV with a tumbleweed the other day, and I flicked through and found 'The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly' and the blasted thing wouldn't stop humming the theme tune and demanded that we dual :/

I was talking about the tumbleweed, blast my accent mixing with my text. That reminds me, this thing kept pointing out how it'd been shot in the background, foreground, the WHOLE way through. That's the last time I watch TV with a tumbleweed.

Yeah, I wonder how tumbleweeds play any sports involving a ball..
