Fresh, because though dates, raisins, and banana chips are all nice, and don't go off as easy, they don't pack as much flavour.

Hmm.. I'm not exactly affectionate myself, but it does warm my icy heart to see affection, while playfulness makes me laugh :3
Depends what circumstances they're under. In general, I'd pick affection, but elsewhere.. I dunno, I'm torn.
